.... I may be the worlds worst blogger! I had a lovely weekend, with my friend C, last weekend, but for some reason I have been feeling incredibly negative and down this last week, I didnt really want that to show in my blog so I havent posted. BUT inspired by Veggie girl Im am going to try to find the positive things in life each day.

Too start Im taking a trip back to last weekends fun to share the firework photos. I actually have a firework setting on my camera!!!

Pretty, huh!

Anyway lots left to do before bed, so Im going to leave it here for now. But I must just say hello to Haylee and Veggie girl, its always nice to have new people (as well as the oldies, haha) leaving comments, hope you back again :)

O my what tasty treats

I said I would take some photos of vegan adventures and here they are...

How it all Vegan Vegetetable Rice Pilaf. I had this cold in my lunchbox it was so tasty, subtly spicy and so full of flavour, yum yum. Im so glad I have some left over for tonight. This is one happy bunny :DI was doublely happy when I tried their Ginger Peanut Sauce. Im not going to say it, but Im sure I know what youre all thinking! It was though one of the tasty things Ive ever tasted! No exaggeration. It was fab with my stir fry.Carrot, Red and Green Pepper, a Leek, Peas, Spinach. All very green but wonderfully tasty. Yum yum yum yum! And that is one of my fabulously designed plates.

Thats all for today Im off to London in the morning for some much needed shopping, tourist and family time. Needless to say I have much to do this evening before again (hopefully) having another early night. Ill post when I get back next week.

My brief adventures in a vegan world

The parents have been away for the last few days, so I thought I would use this as an opportunity to try out some more recipes from one of my vegan cookbooks.
So far I have made
Carrot and Ginger soup from my student veggie cookbook. A tasty bright orange bowl that was filling and warming and yummy, but not photogenic. Nai enjoyed it too.
Classic Choc chip cookies from Vive Le Vegan, MMMMMM yummy! All eaten before a chance to snap it. But you know what choc chip cookies look like.
Spicy Oatmeal and Raisin cookies and Graden Vegetable medly stew from How it all Vegan. The stew was even tastier the second time around. I made so many changes that it wasnt really much like the original! And again not photogenic.

Tonight for tea Im planning on a stir fry with Ginger Peanut Sauce. I am loving ginger I find any excuse to add a bit to my meals :) As for lunchbox tomorrow maybe Vegetable Rice Pilaf (cold obviously) I will take some pictures of these Id like to be able to show off some of my new found cooking skills, haha :)

Ive been enjoying trying these new recipes and want to try some more without funny looks and an inquisition from the folks. Ive decided, no promised myself I will do some more. Breakfast and Lunchboxes are all down to me so I can do whatever I like with those.

Thats all the rambling for now I have many thinkgs to do tonight, before I get to bed (early I hope)

Fundraising advice

Firstly I wanted to say thanks for the lovely comments on my last post :) Each one made me smile from ear to ear. If you havent made chocolate cake in a mug check out these links Johanna inspired me and she was inspired by Lorraine who has also just made cheesecake in a mug WOAH! Im so treating myself to that one day, or maybe just lemon cake in a mug, I do love all things Lemony :)

Anyway enough of that the real reason for my post today is to ask you wise ladies if you have any clever fundraising ideas? I want to a charity trek next year, either in Costa Rica or Nepal (how amazing would that be???) and I need to raise £3,000 to do it. I have a couple of small ideas but am open to any interesting and exciting ideas from you.

Anyway thats all for nowI need to make an early tea before I go out to my jewellery class tonight. I havent practiced my guitar today, my bad!

Bad Lil Blogger Girl

I havent posted in over a week and this one is going to be very short! Ive been quite busy and feeling a bit under the weather too. - Im going to keep it short and just give the highlights.

  • I had a day off on Thursday and had a lovely relaxing day with my Mummy, we went out for lunch :) Not quite a pj day but I didnt worry about "getting things done" or "achieving something"

  • I had a compliment from my boss!!!! She doesnt give them lightly but she told me that she "VALUED ME!!!!!!!!!!"

  • Im learning to play Twinkle Twinkle on the guitar so I can take it to nursery and play with the kids :)

  • I made lentil stew from How It All Vegan and It was 100% delish, I will be making it again.

  • It was my Daddies birthday on Wednesday, as he was away :( I had yummy cake in his honour Chocolate, Banana cake in a mug.

It was recommend by the lovely Johanna I changed it slightly by using Banana, instead of egg and extra milk instead of some of the oil. It was perfect, tasty and delish. Best of all it was just enough for 1 and there was nothing left to tempt me with. I had it hot and topped it with vanilla ice cream PER-FECT!

Ive just got back from the gym. Ive got a new programme to try out. I need to build up strength and staminer so I can complete a charity trek next year.

Well lots to do today so I will leave it there, I still have blogs to read. Hope everybody has a good weekend.
